6th edition of the Memorables Film Festival: A film gala to raise awareness about Alzheimer's

The Center for Neurological Diseases Research (CIEN) and the Reina Sofía Foundation are celebrating the 6th edition of the Memorables Film Festival, an event aimed at raising awareness of the impact of Alzheimer’s through the magic of cinema. This short film festival offers a unique opportunity to explore the complexities of the disease from different perspectives, showing how it affects those who suffer from it and their families and caregivers.

The Memorables Film Festival Gala will take place next Thursday, November 7th, at 18:00 at the Alzheimer’s Center Reina Sofia Foundation, with Irma Soriano as the host. The event will include the screening of short films in two sessions, followed by a panel discussion titled "Cinema and Memory," featuring a prominent expert in film and science, such as Eva Almaya, actress and producer, and our scientific director, Pascual Sánchez Juan, along with Alberto Rábano, our director of the CIEN Tissue Bank.

During the closing ceremony, awards will be given to the best productions, including the Gold, Silver and Bronze “Little Neuron” award for the most outstanding short films. Additionally, the work of collaborators and sponsors such as the Almería International Film Festival (FICAL), Fontventa, and Siemens Healthcare will be recognized for their support of this initiative.

To attend this gala, it is essential to confirm your attendance before November 6th via comunicacion@fundacioncien.es.
