Discussion and consensus: the start of the GADIR Project
The next GADIR Workshop, organised by the Center for Research on Neurological Diseases (CIEN) and co-funded by the Sociedad Española de Neurología (SEN), takes place today and tomorrow. This meeting will bring together experts in neuropathology with the central purpose of discussing and agreeing on the necessary procedures for the implementation of the GADIR Project, a key initiative in the neuropathological classification of neurodegenerative diseases.
The GADIR Project aims to unify neuropathological criteria and improve diagnostic accuracy through close collaboration between neurological tissue banks and specialised research groups.
Distinguished participants
The workshop will be attended by 12 of the 16 neurological tissue banks that are part of the GADIR Project, as well as members of the ACE Alzheimer Center team, an organisation that plays a crucial role in the project. In addition, several members of the Iberian Neuropathology Group will be present, reinforcing the collaborative network that supports the project.
Program
The workshop will include two days focused on technical discussions, practical sessions and key organisational aspects:
Thursday 27 March:
Friday 28th March:
Moving towards a key consensus
This workshop will be fundamental to establish the methodological and organisational bases of the GADIR Project. The discussion and consensus among participants will help to define the procedures that will guide the project and strengthen scientific collaboration between the main neurological tissue banks and neuropathology groups at the Iberian level.
