The CIEN Foundation (Center for Research on Neurological Diseases) and the Queen Sofía Foundation present the 4th edition of the Memorables Film Festival, a film festival dedicated to showcasing and promoting the creation and distribution of short films about Alzheimer’s disease.
The purpose of the festival is to highlight how Alzheimer’s affects those who live with, suffer from, or witness the impact of the disease, as well as their families, aiming to shed light on their situation in a positive way.
Official Section and Professional Jury
A jury composed of members from the Carlos III Health Institute, the Queen Sofía Foundation, the CIEN Foundation, and renowned professionals from the Spanish film industry will evaluate the short films in the official section. Entries must have a maximum duration of ten minutes and be fiction or documentary films focused on Alzheimer’s in any of its aspects, including its impact on patients' lives, scientific, medical, or social perspectives.
The awards include the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Neuronita for the best short films, which will also receive a cash prize of up to €2,000. Additional Neuronita awards will be given in various categories such as Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Editing, etc.
Festival registration is free, and the submission deadline is September 30.
